Fourth of July, Family, and the Meridian Top

One of the greatest joys of making clothes (among so many other things) is seeing women wearing the garments that I work so very hard on in their own style.  Any creative person can understand that making a product is a painstaking and hopefully equally rewarding process.  It's so hard to put so much of yourself into something and put it out in the world for anybody to rip apart. But the moments when someone walks into your life and celebrates what you do, with you, is a true victory.  And to see someone representing those moments by sharing it with you is even better.

Over the Fourth of July last weekend, I was so honored to see my Melon Meridian Top out and about for the holiday.  Susan Austin donned the top as she celebrated with her family in McMinville, Tennessee at her annual Fourth of July celebration.  The Meridian Top fit right into the day of festivities full of sparklers, pie, and more.

I love the way the Meridian Top looks comfortable, casual, and yet still makes a statement on Susan.  The double layer and sweeping hemline bring movement to the soft linen and allow for a stylish addition to her holiday ensemble.  I'm so excited to see the Meridian out and about in the world representing beautiful women of all walks of life.

We owe a big thanks to Susan for sharing her Meridian experience and family-filled weekend! I hope everyone else had a wonderful holiday, despite the rain. And don't forget to check back here for more updates and anecdotes along our way.
